Why the lessons differ
A weak outline is five lessons in a row that all explain. The generator rotates through these, in order, so a three-lesson module gets the what, the how and the example.
- 1 What it is Why this matters, and what goes wrong without it.
- 2 Step by step The method, in the order you would actually do it.
- 3 A worked example You doing it once, start to finish, on something real.
- 4 Where people go wrong The mistakes you have actually seen people make.
- 5 A checklist The page they keep open long after they stop watching.
What to do with the outline
- Edit the lesson titles for your subject. They come from a template.
- Cut any module you cannot describe in one sentence.
- Show it to someone like your student and ask which lesson they would watch first.
- Make one complete sample lesson before the rest.
- Build the modules in Courselink in this order as you record.
For the thinking behind each module, read how to create a course outline and the course outline template. To work out what to charge, use the course pricing calculator.
Outline generator questions
The modules and lessons a student moves through, in order, planned before you record anything. It is where you spot two topics that are really one, or four lessons in a row with no practice.
No. It arranges your topics into modules and gives each a mix of lesson types. Reword changes the phrasing, but the subject matter is entirely yours.
We have no sourced rule, so we will not invent one. The structure here assumes one module per topic you would teach separately, with a mix of lesson types inside each.
No. It runs in your browser from a written set of lesson patterns, so nothing you type leaves your device. Reword picks different phrasings from the same list.
Yes. Copy it or download it as a text file. There is no email form in front of it.
