Course pricing calculator

Work out your price
Subscribers, followers or students you can reach.
Your own estimate. 2% is an example, not a benchmark.
What one student pays.
20 buyers. Fees: Stripe (2.9% + 30¢ a sale) and one month of Lite.
| Price | Sales | Payment fee | Lite | What is left |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25 Half your price | $500 | −$21 | −$19 | $461 |
| $49 Your price | $980 | −$34 | −$19 | $927 |
| $98 Double your price | $1,960 | −$63 | −$19 | $1,878 |
Each row assumes the same share buys at every price. In practice, a higher price usually means fewer buyers.
What you want to keep after fees.
Price it at
$52.79
to clear that from 20 buyers
Or keep your price and find
22
buyers at $49
Lite is the cheapest plan that takes payments, and Courselink takes 0% of sales. Provider rates checked October 2026; yours may differ.
How to compare price scenarios
The arithmetic is easy. These are the three places the inputs go wrong.
- 1 Start from the audience you have Count the subscribers, followers and students you could reach this month, not the ones you hope for.
- 2 Use your own buyer rate A launch that sold 30 courses to 2,000 subscribers is 1.5%. With no history, try a low number and a hopeful one.
- 3 Read the price you need If the price that reaches your goal looks too high for what you teach, the fix is usually a bigger audience.
What the calculator leaves out
It subtracts the payment provider’s standard rate and one month of the cheapest plan that can take payments. These are real costs too, but none has a number we could source:
- The time it takes you to make the course
- Anything you spend getting people to the page
- Refunds and chargebacks
- Answering student questions after they buy
- Income tax, and sales tax or GST where it applies
- What a second month costs once the first is over

Pricing calculator questions
There is no single right number: price is a judgment about what the result is worth to your student. The calculator does the arithmetic under that judgment.
Use your own history: 30 sales from 2,000 subscribers is 1.5%. The 2% in the field is an example, not a benchmark, so with no history, try a low number and a hopeful one.
No. Courselink takes zero commission, forever. The fee the calculator subtracts is the payment provider’s, not ours.
Because leaving it out would overstate what you keep. It uses Stripe’s standard US card rate in dollars and Razorpay’s standard domestic rate in rupees, both checked October 2026. Your own rate may differ.
Selling needs a plan that can take payments, so one month of the cheapest one is subtracted to show what a first month really leaves you.
No. The calculator runs in your browser and nothing is sent to us.
